🕉️ Special Days & Festivals On auspicious days, the temple extends hours for continuous darshan and poojas: Skanda Shasti, Subrahmanya Shasti, Thaipusam, Kartik Purnima: Temple opens as early as 5:00 AM and remains open until 9:00 PM.
📅 Weekly Special Days Tuesday & Saturday: Considered especially sacred for Lord Subrahmanya. Special Abhishekam and Archana are performed on these days.
🕉️ Subramanya Shasti The most significant festival of the temple, celebrated in November–December (Margashira month). It commemorates Lord Subramanya’s victory over the demon Tarakasura. The celebrations include abhishekam, homam, kavadi seva, and a grand procession with devotional music and cultural programs.
🌺 Skanda Shasti Observed for six days with fasting, chanting of Kanda Shasti Kavasam, and continuous prayers. The final day marks Lord Murugan’s divine triumph and showers blessings upon devotees.
🐍 Naga Panchami Dedicated to the worship of Serpent Deities. Devotees offer milk, turmeric, and flowers to the Naga idols for relief from Sarpa Dosha and to seek protection and prosperity.
🪔 Karthika Deepotsava Celebrated during Karthika month, the temple is beautifully illuminated with hundreds of oil lamps symbolizing the victory of divine light over darkness. Special poojas and deepa aradhana are performed in the evening.
🎇 Thaipusam A vibrant festival dedicated to Lord Murugan, observed during the Thai month (January–February). Devotees carry kavadis and offer prayers seeking blessings for health, courage, and fulfillment of vows.
🍛 Annadanam (Sacred Food Offering) During all major festivals and auspicious occasions, the temple organizes Annadanam — serving free meals to devotees as an act of charity, service, and equality.
