The Somasundareswarar Temple, an ancient place of worship, is situated in Perumalai, historically known as Anadhavayalagam, in Tittagudi Taluk, Cuddalore District. This temple, built approximately 800 years ago, stands as a testament to the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. However, over the centuries, it has fallen into a state of severe disrepair, with its structure now in urgent need of restoration.
Recognizing the significance of this historic site, Deiveegan (nicknamed Deva) and his team have taken the initiative to restore and preserve the temple. While the government has contributed a portion of the required funds, public support is crucial to prevent this ancient temple from being lost to time. Contributions and collective efforts from devotees and well-wishers will play a vital role in ensuring that this 800-year-old sacred site is saved and restored to its former glory.
